Assistant Brand Manager - NARS

 

MISSION

As Assistant Brand Manager, you will work closely with the Brand Manager and the NARS Marketing Team to support the creation and implementation of the annual Marketing Plan in the UK and Ireland, with a focus on driving brand awareness and maintaining NARS’s position as #4 brand in UK market. You will be key in supporting omnichannel trade strategies to enhance instore & online visibility and drive conversion, acting as the key liaison between Brand Managers, E-Retail, Commercial & Retail teams, ensuring seamless activation and alignment on brand campaigns.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Trade Marketing

  • Act as the marketing main point of contact for Commercial & E-Retail teams regarding trade plans and promotional activations
  • Co-ordination and alignment of NARS trade & promotions calendar for all retailers in line with EMEA and UK launch objectives to drive brand awareness and sales growth under supervision of Senior Marketing Manager and NARS National Account Controller & Senior Omnichannel Activation Manager.
  • Support implementation of trade marketing across e-retail & in-store, coordinating with Omnichannel Activation team, NAM and Retail / Education teams to ensure excellence in execution, harmonious brand messaging and optimised customer experience
  • Collaborate with the NAMs and Brand Managers to help define retailer exclusive programmes (previews, sets, GWPs, in-store events) and ensure harmonisation across the calendar between retailers
  • Ensure on-brand adaptation and integration of global brand assets into trade marketing  media activities, being the liaison between Marketing & Omnichannel Activation team
  • Develop an understanding of trade customers’ requirements in order to maximise brand inclusion in retailer marketing activities
  • Work closely with Operations to achieve excellence in the execution of retailer focused samples, GWP, beauty boxes
  • Support the twice-yearly retailer strategy presentation, responsible for partnering with cross functional teams on decks & retailer specific activation plans

 

Brand Management

  • Under the supervision of the Brand Manager, lead the end to end forecasting and execution of secondary focus launches.
  • Ensure consistency of brand standards across all marketing platforms
  • Support Brand Manager in leading the NARS Free Standing Store strategy and calendar of execution and events, ensuring differentiation from our other retailer channels and maintaining best in class execution across key launches
  • Own the Sampling & GWP programme (under the supervision of the Senior Marketing Manager), managing POSM allocation by retailer, by door, for Core and for each launch; be accountable for the timely and accurate update and management of POSM trackers and strategy, liaising with all departments.
  • Raise Purchase Orders, receipt them on MIGO, and liaise with Finance team to process payment of invoices and update budget tracker in a timely manner.

 

Education & Eventing

  • Work with NARS Education team to support the successful execution of our makeup events strategy (including retailer risk assessments, makeup kit maintenance, cross departmental event coordination etc)
  • Own the 360 marketing support of Makeup events across all channels (service menu, sampling, TOAs, VM design, CRM & online coverage)
  • Identify new eventing opportunities & work with Retail & Education on how to improve based on competitor benchmarking & analysis.
  • Tracking & reporting of eventing against brand strategies, inputting into ways to improve.
  • Retailer events - work in partnership with Education, PR and Marketing on larger scale events (visuals, communications, manage stakeholder signoff with EMEA)

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Ideally a minimum 3 years’ experience in a previous retail marketing role, in beauty and preferably within premium beauty
  • Commercial with sound business acumen, strong affinity with numbers and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to negotiate and manage various stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
  • Creative with a very strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Team work mindset
