MAIN PURPOSE      

                          

Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic relationships with key retail and distribution partners like Sephora and Sasa. This role focuses on driving sales performance, executing brand strategies, and ensuring optimal product placement and visibility across accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the beauty market, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record in account management.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Account Management & Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans tailored to each key retailer.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for retail accounts (e.g., Sephora and Sasa)
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with buyers, category managers, and decision-makers.
  • Monitor and analyze account performance, sales trends, and market dynamics.

 

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs through effective account management.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and new product launches.
  • Negotiate trade terms, pricing, and promotional support to maximize profitability.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics including sell-in and sell-out data.

 

Marketing & Merchandising

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute in-store promotions, digital campaigns, and product launches.
  • Ensure brand consistency and visibility across all touchpoints.
  • Coordinate with visual merchandising/ marketing teams to optimize shelf space and display execution.

 

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with supply chain, finance, and brand teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide feedback to brand team based on customer insights, retailers feedback and market trends.

 

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to inform strategy.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in key account management, preferably within the beauty or FMCG industry.
  • Solid understanding of retail dynamics and current beauty industry trends.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, creative, and results-driven with a positive attitude in fast-paced environments.
  • A collaborative team player who is confident and goal oriented.
  • Capable of effective self-management and prioritization in daily planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
