Senior DC Manager - Function Leader (Korean only)
MAIN PURPOSE
|
Responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring seamless import-based inventory management and efficient collaboration with third-party logistics (3PL) providers. This role is critical in optimizing inbound receiving, storage, order fulfilment, and outbound shipping to support retail, e-commerce, and B2B channels. Strong leadership, operational expertise, and vendor management skills are required to drive efficiency, maintain compliance, and support the company’s growing logistics needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Warehouse & Logistics Operations Management
- Oversee inventory flow from inbound receiving to outbound shipping, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Manage storage allocation, warehouse space utilization, and product movement efficiency.
- Supervise 3PL operations to ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping for retail, e-commerce, and B2B channels.
- Coordinate with transportation partners, supply chain function, and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth logistics execution.
2. 3PL & Vendor Management
- Lead 3PL oversight, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs), cost targets, and performance KPIs.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of 3PL providers to drive continuous improvement in warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
- Work closely with logistics and supply chain functions to resolve operational bottlenecks and improve warehouse efficiency.
- Implement contingency plans to mitigate risks such as stock discrepancies, shipping delays, and damages.
3. Inventory Control & Process Optimization
- Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation with systems.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures to enhance order accuracy, reduce damages, and minimize delays.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to optimize warehouse workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
4. Performance & Cost Optimization
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including order accuracy, fulfillment time, cost per unit, and inventory variance.
- Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives related to warehouse operations, inbound freight, and last-mile delivery.
- Collaborate with Logistics and Supply Chain functions to forecast warehouse capacity needs and optimize transportation planning.
- Evaluate potential automation and technology enhancements to improve warehouse efficiency
5. Compliance & Safety Management
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with local regulations, company policies, and global standards related to safety, environmental requirements, and labor laws.
- Conduct regular training sessions for warehouse and logistics partners on product handling, compliance, and safety protocols.
- Enforce strict adherence to quality control measures in storage, order processing, and shipping.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics management, preferably within import-based retail or cosmetics industries.
- Proven experience in managing 3PL vendors, including contract negotiation, SLA management, and performance tracking.
- Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics operations within an import-driven supply chain.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills to drive operational improvements.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
