JOB SUMMARY
This position is part of the Quality External Operations Group. Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the Quality Coordinator ensures compliance with cGMP and company policies, procedures, and specifications.
This position is responsible for overseeing the inspection and batch record review of Shiseido cosmetic and OTC products produced at contract manufacturers, and quality system functions in accordance with cGMP and any related company SOP’s and FDA regulations.
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting the quality inspectors to ensure accurate documentation of all finished and semi-finished parts that are made at contract manufacturers. This position is responsible for maintaining inspection documentation, certificate of analysis and standards. Daily and monthly reporting.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will support department and organizational goals and objectives.
- You will perform required review and systemic release or reject for contract manufacturer product.
- You will log and label standard samples, Work with appropriate CM teams to acquire needed standards.
- You will file and maintain CofA documents received from CM Vendors. You will work with appropriate CM teams to acquire missing documents.
- You will coordinate and schedule contract manufacturing workload with External Operations Planning department and New Product Development.
- You will work with the Quality team to investigate customer complaints.
- You will use statistical sampling tools such as ISO 2859, ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, or per company's SOP.
- You will conduct training with others (both internal and external) to ensure test procedures and work instructions are understood and applied correctly.
- You will perform other duties as assigned.
- You will work with Quality Inspectors, Quality Specialist, Supervisor, Planner, and Buyer
- You will collaborate with Quality Specialist in the collection of data, samples, performing process and product audits.
- You will actively support the Finance Department with the resolution of blocked/non- conforming materials at contract manufacturers and/or distribution center.
- You will adhere to the company’s T&E policy.
WHO YOU ARE
- You are someone with a minimum 1-year experience in Quality control environment preferably in cosmetics or FMCG with exposure to FDA and cGMP regulations.
- You are someone who completed a two-year Associates degree in science or technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- You are someone with ASQ - Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) is highly desired
- You are someone with knowledge of basic math and statistics.
- You are someone with the ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
- You are someone with hands-on experience with basic measuring equipment.
- You are someone with basic knowledge of MS-Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
- You are able to lift, stand or walk constantly all shift as needed.
- You are someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
- You are someone who’s able to handle large volumes of work and change priorities as needed.
- You are someone who works independently, requiring minimum supervisory direction.
- You are someone who takes the initiative and is self-motivated.

The hourly rate for this position may vary based on geographic location. Pay is based on several factors including knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, including a full range of benefits.
