JOB SUMMARY

The Assembly Costing Coordinator is responsible for all front-end Assembly job planning functions including ensuring accuracy of re-work instructions and procuring non-SKU materials.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • You will coordinate all rework requests from various corporate partners to enable scheduling & fulfillment.
  • You will serve as the main point of contact to help generate/receive rework instructions.
  • You will perform Blue Yonder inventory status changes on rework requested items.
  • You will create or assign Blue Yonder evaluations for rework planning values of expected hourly performance and subsequent unit cost.
  • You will partner with Assembly Planning (OH/NJ) team to generate systemic orders based on rework request specifics.
  • You will collect and distribute post-production rework results as needed.
  • You will track and procure all Assembly sourced non-SKU’d material inventory (tissue, corrugate, tape, etc.) for weekly scheduled orders.
  • You will Interact with material suppliers to proactively communicate continuously changing needs based on volume forecasts, item evaluations, and inventory analysis.
  • You will serve as the primary backup for kit costing within Blue Yonder to create productivity and headcount values.
  • You will perform time studies of assembly line production tasks to refresh element times as needed to continuously improve costing accuracy and provide revised/reevaluated targets for Production.
  • You will embrace the Lean mindset through work on continuous improvement activities/projects and 5S area.

 

WHO YOU ARE 

  • You have 2-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • You manage multiple tasks and complete them efficiently and on time.
  • You are a strong communicator and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • You are analytical with a strong attention to detail.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • You are experienced with Blue Yonder WMS, Apriso and MES (Preferred).
  • You have a continuous improvement mindset and are familiar with lean methodology including Lean Six Sigma.
  • You have knowledge of a distribution center inventory flows and processes.

The hourly rate for this position may vary based on geographic location. Pay is based on several factors including knowledge, education, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, including a full range of benefits.
