JOB SUMMARY

 

The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the repair, maintenance, and operation of the facility.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

 

  • You will control boiler operation for comfort heating / hot water

  • You will manage daily operations and maintenance of all HVAC equipment together with certified contractor

  • You will be responsible for energy management, including solar panel arrays

  • You will manage Hazardous Material disposals

  • You will oversee and manage communication with all construction / contractors at the facility on a daily basis

  • You will perform minor mechanical, painting, masonry, carpentry, electrical, or plumbing work as necessary  

  • You will perform or supervise daily inspections of utilities

  • You will ensure that all Facilities department activities are completed in conformance with Shiseido safety principles and while following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP’s)

  • You will create and enter work orders in computerized maintenance management system for preventative maintenance and repair work

 

WHO YOU ARE 

 

  • You have a one (1) year certificate from college or technical school.

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of prior experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment, such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, medical devices, or fragrance manufacturing.

  • You have 5 years experience with Low Pressure Boiler License and Hazmat Level 1 Certification (required)

  • You demonstrate technical knowledge by performing a variety of tasks such as knowledge of building codes and OSHA requirements, maintenance, repair, fabrication and installation. Provides technical assistance by troubleshooting and determining root causes.

  • You have a wastewater N1 license or higher (preferred) or willingness to acquire certification within 1 year of hire.

  • You have an electrical certification and experience (strongly preferred)

  • You have intermediate plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry skills (required)

  • You have experience in operating a building management system (BMS/BAS) (required)

  • You have experience in using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.

  • You can adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands and deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.

  • You develop strong relationships by actively listening, seeking input and checks for mutual understanding. Open to ideas and exhibits willingness to change.

  • You can follow instructions and respond to management directions in a timely and competent manner.

  • You demonstrate a high sense of housekeeping standards where neatness is maintained throughout the facility and maintenance work area. Takes on unassigned tasks without being directed to do so.

  • You can set objectives, prioritize activities and tasks and adjust priorities when appropriate. Accurately follows instructions, anticipates obstacles, and prepares alternative plans to ensure timely completion of projects. Shows sense of urgency.

  • You can identify problems by evaluating, gathering, and analyzing information. Considers potential outcomes, determines appropriate solution and works to resolution. Ensures all work meets or exceeds applicable codes and standards. Use appropriate record keeping methods. Accomplishes tasks accurately and completely.

  • You ensure safety standards and procedures are followed and accidents are avoided. Identify and recommend resolutions for potential safety concerns and unsafe work practices. Exhibit safe work habits and use appropriate protective equipment based on established procedures.

  • You promote a collaborative, cooperative, and productive environment. Respect and value others and maintain good relationships with a broad range of people.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The job duties affected by these environmental conditions include the operation of boilers, chillers, and air compressors.

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
