Job Title:  Senior Planner, Production


Job Summary:

Responsible for scheduling filling/packaging operations for an optimum equipment output to maximize meeting the demand plan


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the demand plan against agreed upon capacity and confirm availability of material.            
  • Check and execute scheduling with consideration to inventory policy and strategy          
  • Schedule filling per designated work centers to achieve optimum equipment output        
  • Validate schedule with filling managers, make necessary adjustments, challenge execution where required and obtain commitment to schedule                                             
  • Deliver product launches per project timeline                                                           
  • Follow up on delivery and release of material to ensure availability for scheduled jobs and adjust schedule as required                                                                                      
  • Review execution progress, expedite, adjust and reprioritize and necessary                        
  • Report execution status to Supply Planning Team


Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

  • Production Managers and Supervisors for Scheduling and Adherence
  • Material Supply Planners to follow up on material availability
  • CM team to coordinate transfer of production                                                                     
  • Customer Service to update on status
  • Supply Planning Team to provide or receive updates                                                           
  • NPD / Project Management to coordinate new launches 
  • QA/QC to follow up on release bulk, components and finished goods       


Financial Accountability 

  • E&O of finished goods when driven by a decision to produce to forecast
  • Incremental cost of expediting FG when caused by a Planner’s decision
  • E&O of bulk and WIP
  • Fill rate
  • Days of Supply


Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 2-5 years of previous production planning experience in Consumer goods preferably in the Cosmetics industry.                      
  • Proficient in software supporting planning activities
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to Focus
  • Communicates effectively
  • Collaborative
  • Drives Results  
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Experience with SAP
