JOB SUMMARY

Manage the creation and timely execution of an achievable, efficient production schedule for a group of Contract Manufacturers (domestic and International) while maintaining lowest possible inventory levels and agreed upon service levels. Drive the Planning, Innovation & Core team to execute launches & deliver OTIF. Create and maintain purchase orders and other transactions in SAP. Perform monthly or quarterly inventory reconciliations with assigned CM sites and ensure inventory accuracy. Lead and Manage team to deliver business results.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • You will lead, coach and develop a high performing team in supporting new product launches/innovation/replenishment planning with Contract Manufacturers
  • You will lead the supply planning to maintain service & inventory with contract manufacturers
  • You will manage relationship with strategic CM sites through monthly CS&OP Process
  • You will manage Shiseido Owned inventory accuracy at external manufacturing sites
  • You will work with PM team to define the supply plan for launches.
  • You will execute the defined service level agreement for CMs.
  • You will provide leadership, motivation, direction and support to the team members
  • In conjunction with CMs and procurement, and in line with the global planning, you will define the run strategies for the various product types and class (e.g. ABC class)
  • You will develop and maintain relationship with external manufacturing plant. Build rhythm and cadence with the site in order to enrich the relationship.
  • You will develop strategy and process for change champion role within the external operations road map
  • You will define inventory policies to allow forecasts to be accurately translated into manufacturing production schedules in support of the defined run strategies and business objectives.
  • Interface with the CMs to ensure the implementation and use of the most efficient, cost-effective manufacturing strategies by product type.
  • You will maintain low inventory report (Shiseido Service Letter) and daily service management for the portfolio, in partnership with S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning).
  • You will drive continuous improvement to optimize service and inventory
  • You will work with CMs to execute the SLA as per agreed strategies.
  • You will work with CMs to define supply strategies as per the category.
  • You will monitor capacity levels and implement strategies and proactive actions to address any gaps
  • You will track inventory levels of Finished goods, components, and WIPs to ensure optimal levels
  • You will partner with Material Supply Planning to ensure timely component deliveries.
  • You will monitor Excess and Obsolete inventory. Drive Root Cause Problem Solving and action planning/execution to reduce E&O.
  • You will work with Procurement and the CMs to ensure that component and production lead times are challenged and reduced to the lowest possible level in keeping with agreed distribution strategies.
  • You will develop and monitor the use of appropriate KPI’s to measure and improve the effectiveness of the key elements of the planning organization.
  • You will work with PM to define supply plan for new products launches.

 

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • You have a 4-year academic degree in relevant field or related job experience
  • You have a minimum of 8-9 years of experience in a supply planning role, ideally in a manufacturing or supplier environment in the consumer goods industry.
  • You are a proficient user of computerized IT systems – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other associated scheduling, forecasting software packages
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred
  • You have 6+ years of experience working within an ERP/MRP environment at an advanced level
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • You have thorough working knowledge of DRP and MPS processes in a Manufacturing or CM environment
  • End to End Supply Chain Functions and Linkage
  • You have an in-depth understanding of capacity management and production control concepts
  • You have an in-depth understanding of setting safety stock levels and other key parameters for Finished Goods and components
  • Production life cycle management
  • You have an in-depth understanding of Supplier Management concepts.
  • You have strong analytical & organizational skills

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits
