JOB SUMMARY

 

The Senior Analyst, Finance Costing is responsible for loading standard costs, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and annual budget costs for internally and externally manufactured products.  Based in East Windsor, New Jersey. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

 

  • Calculate accurate item level standard costs by working cross functionally with PMIC, Manufacturing, Production, Purchasing, and External Operations teams on operational rates and material prices loaded into SAP
  • Work to execute costing timely and accurately
  • Maintain standard pricing across all distribution channels and perform monthly validation
  • Develop relevant reporting to support monthly analysis and brand analysis
  • Become a SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Shiseido Americas costing process
  • Complete all analytical and reports as part of annual budget standard cost roll (with support of Manager and Director)
  • Work with Manufacturing and Procurement teams to identify savings opportunities and COGS improvement projects
  • Help maintain Daily Costing log and track/report on metrics related to costing activities. Use Dashboard to identify trends for areas of improvement.
  • Support management of the Costing Mailbox and log incoming requests as well as answer questions from Business Partners on costing
  • Assist with process improvements in the Costing Function
  • Assist with monthly PPV and Manufacturing Variance analysis

 

WHO YOU ARE 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong interest in consumer product, costing, systems, and manufacturing processes. Interested in learning plant manufacturing and data tracking/collection processes including labor hours and material usage.
  • Detail oriented, ability to roll up the sleeves and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Intermediate to Advanced excel skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines as well as to be agile with adjusting work commitments
  • SAP knowledge/experience recommended

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
