Project Manager, New Product Commercialization

Job Summary: 

Responsible for leading the launch activities of the plant by developing and executing launches to deliver OTIF. Collaborate with all Operations cross-functional teams to ensure that all necessary learnings, qualification, and execution activities of new products are completed in support of a successful launch.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the new product commercialization process for a designated brand from formula approval to execution, ensuring timing, quantity and KPI targets are achieved
  • Lead plant project review meetings and coordinate seamless integration between all Operational and AIC processes and functions involved in developing and launching new products
  • Establish, maintain, and ensure adherence of new product launch timelines
  • Consistently challenge and reduce development lead-times by ensuring appropriate balanced risks are built into original timeline plans, while ensuring all COGs, quality and service requirements are achieved.

 

Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

  • Operations: NPD, Manufacturing, Technical, Production, Planning, MSP, Finance, Compliance, QA/QC, Customer Service, Procurement, Packaging Eng., S&OP, External Ops
  • Brand: Product Development
  • AIC

 

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Work well with cross-functional teams and take a leadership role within the team
  • Effective interpersonal skills are a must
  • Knowledge of MS Project or other project management-related software, MS Excel, and MS Word
  • Understanding of new product development processes and stage gate approach
  • 4+ years project management experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university
