We are seeking enthusiastic interns for the Shiseido Hajimari Summer Internship program, a paid, full-time, 9-week experience from June 2nd to August 1st. Based in our New Jersey and New York offices, this program offers hands-on exposure to the full product life-cycle, from Marketing to Manufacturing, along with impactful projects, networking opportunities, and professional development workshops. About our Regulatory Team:
The Regulatory team is responsible for partnering with various cross-functional teams such as but not limited to R&D, Product Development, Global Marketing and contract manufacturers to address relevant business needs (product registration, formula and raw material compliance review, new regulations risk assessment and more). Each employee is expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure product compliance in domestic and oversea markets.
Responsibilities:
- Intern will be responsible for establishing a database for sample size (POSM) product information in Shiseido’s internal registration systems and building their familiarity with NARS and Tory Burch fragrance product portfolio while gaining an overview of the product registration process
- Work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to collect necessary product information such as launch bulletins, product name and size, manufacturer, formula code, specification, packaging artwork, etc.
- Gather, review and organize regulatory document database to ensure all required documentation is on file for data integrity and compliance
- Learn the fundamentals of oversea product registration
- Create a summary presentation to be shared with senior leadership at the conclusion of the internship
Requirements:
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior in college working towards a bachelor’s degree
- Must be actively enrolled in matriculating college degree program in chemistry, or science field associated programs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and tech savvy to learn in-house proprietary systems
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized
- Energetic, self-motivated, results oriented
- Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, safety-first work environment
- Have a passion for cosmetics, the beauty industry and keeping up-to-date with industry trends
- Must be able to commute to designated workplace and work the required weekly schedule associated with department
