PR Manager - NARS & Drunk Elephant (Maternity coverage ) Fix term contract
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations (PR) Manager to join our team on a 6-month maternity cover contract. This role involves managing and implementing fully integrated PR and communication strategies for NARS and Drunk Elephant in the Middle East region.
As the interim PR Manager, you will lead strategic initiatives to enhance brand awareness, desirability, and positioning, while driving sales and managing the brands’ image. A deep understanding of the regional beauty PR landscape and a passion for the industry are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Lead all PR and communication activities, including events, paid and earned influencer campaigns, and media relations, ensuring alignment with global brand guidelines, budgets, and priorities.
Develop and oversee the PR strategy to achieve set EMV (Earned Media Value) and category ranking targets.
Team Management:
- Guide and develop two PR Executives, fostering growth and ensuring high performance.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact with EMEA and global brand holders, securing approvals and ensuring alignment on timelines, campaigns, and local needs.
Campaign Management:
- Plan and execute PR events, securing brand holder approval and delivering exceptional execution aligned with brand standards.
- Manage earned and paid influencer campaigns, including influencer selection, content creation briefs, seeding, and quality assurance.
Budget & ROI Management:
- Manage the PR budget with a focus on maximizing ROI for all initiatives.
- Forecast and plan required PR tools and assets in line with budget allocations.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns using media monitoring platforms, providing detailed post-campaign reports on coverage quality, ROI, and EMV.
- Share actionable insights, learnings, and best practices to inform future strategies.
Industry Expertise:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities and innovative practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of PR experience, preferably in the beauty industry; branding or agency experience is highly desirable.
- At least 3 years of team management experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong copywriting and editing abilities.
- Proven expertise in project management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of the Middle East region and its unique market dynamics.
- Creative thinker with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and leverage emerging global beauty, fashion, and culture trends.
- Experience presenting to senior management and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with media monitoring tools is a plus.
