Demand and Supply Planner - Junior position - Fix term contract 

Shiseido Group Middle East, a subsidiary of Shiseido Company, Limited, is seeking a talented and experienced Demand and Supply Planner to join our dynamic team in Dubai. As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you will play a crucial role in managing the demand and supply planning processes, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand Planning:

• Generate a rolling 18-month Demand Plan, based on historical sales data, market trends, consumer behavior and Marketing and Sales assumptions, to deliver the Business Plan.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Finance, to develop accurate and timely demand forecasts for all Shiseido Middle East markets.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Drive the monthly S&OP meetings, providing insights and recommendations to align demand plans with business objectives.
• Work closely with the Sales team to understand market intelligence, distribution channel updates, and new product launch plans, incorporating this information into the demand planning process.
• Communicate demand plan updates and changes to relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.

2. Supply Planning:

• Develop and maintain the Unconstrained Purchase Plan from the Regional DC, considering demand forecasts, inventory targets, and business rules.
• Collaborate with the Regional Supply Chain team to ensure timely and accurate supply of products to the Middle East markets.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks, such as potential out-of-stock situations or supply chain disruptions.
• Participate in the monthly Regional Demand and Supply Review Meetings, providing insights and recommendations to optimize supply chain performance.
• Coordinate with the Logistics team to ensure efficient distribution of products to customers and markets.

3. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP):

• Actively champion the monthly S&OP process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align demand, supply, and financial plans.
• Provide inputs on the full-year Business Plan, considering production and logistics constraints, material availability, and market performance.
• Analyze and present key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand and supply planning, identifying improvement areas and recommending corrective actions.
• Financially reconcile the outputs of the S&OP process, providing insights and recommendations to drive overall business performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand and supply planning, preferably within the beauty or consumer goods industry.
• Skilled in handling large datasets, data transformations, and visualization. Knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau, MSSQL etc. is preferred.
• Experience with demand planning and forecasting tools, such as SAP APO or IBP.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Knowledge of S&OP processes and best practices.
• Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain optimization techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English. Arabic/French is advantageous.
