Job purpose

Business Controller

• Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting from Sales to gross margin.
• Perform monthly financial closing activities.
• Monitor and analyze Gross Margin performance by Brand, Market, Channel, and key account.
• Organize monthly Gross Margin performance review with commercial team
• Calculate and track the monthly provisions on returns and rebates.
• Implement controls and processes for Gross Sales to Net Sales cost.
• Conduct detailed analysis of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by market, customer, brand, and SKU to identify margin improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate and challenge freight-in costs and excess & obsolete inventory.
• Lead the Pricing process.
• Control intercompany sales and margin.
• Analyze ROI for new openings and launches.
• Contribute to regional budget execution and suggest performance improvements.
• Facilitate communication between finance and other departments.
• Ensure quality and timeliness of reporting processes as per Group deliverables
• Implement and maintain reporting and controlling standards.
• Ensure business controls are in place to safeguard business activities, and that procedures and processes are documented and conform to Group standards and rules.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and manage special projects.

Preferred Skills and experience

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Controlling or Accounting
• CPA or ACCA certification is an advantage
• 5/6 years of experience in Finance, ideally with Finance operational experience and high business acumen.
• Communication skills and assertiveness/ agility and business acumen
• Exposure to multi-cultural environment
