Job Summary

As a counter manager, your main goal is to lead your team in order to maximize the sales and propel a reputation of high fashion and technical excellence. This role primarily services the retail customers.

 

Main responsabilities

  • Ensure that the brand meets all standards and guidelines in the Point of Sale
  • Motivate team to achieve retail targets
  • Manage Team rotations & Daily Targets
  • Complete and submit all required paper work in a timely fashion
  • Report store activity and brand results / performance according to reporting guidelines on a weekly basis
  • Organize successful in store events and collaborations with de Bijenkorf
  • Planning schedules with Retail manager around promotional calendar

 

 

Specific Duties

  • Testers
    • Ensure all testers are in place and in good condition at all times. Used testers should be replaced immediately. No “holes”, no empty testers, no powder tester with the metallic pan visible
    • Review and send tester orders for each door every month. Follow up to check order was well received and dispatched. Make sure missing testers are back ordered as soon as stock is available
    • Review the needs / usage of testers per counter to secure a safety stock on best sellers and that orders are placed and delivered before tester needs replacement.

 

  • Display and VM
  • All displays should be in place exactly as per guidelines, on the day of the launch with testers and images.
  • All shelves and tanks should be merchandised with props and products according to merchandising guidelines
  • No product should be displayed on the counter on its own
  • Discontinued items
  • All discontinued products should be removed from counters and returned according to assortment policies and discontinuation guidelines

 

  • Counter Cleanliness
  • Counters have to be cleaned and dusted every morning before store opens and should always be in pristine conditions. Recommended cleaning products have to be used to guarantee the good condition of our display units.

 

  • Grooming guidelines
  • Grooming guidelines have to be strictly respected as defined in the NARS Worldbook, at all times. No Exceptions
  • Artists must wear NARS make up and use their seasonal allowance.

 

  • In Store Events, Services and Masterclasses
  • Communicating timing, themes, objectives and targets to the team
  • Book the event artist and organize extra staffing if needed
  • Provide Retail Manager detailed feedback after the event

 

  • Reporting
    • Make sure all Artists fill the daily/weekly/monthly without any exception
    • Communicate weekly sheets by email to Retail Manager
    • Monthly reporting of the counter by deadlines
    • Communicate weekly reporting to

 

  • Stock
    • Check stock situation & Lost Sales
    • Report all OOS or critical stock situation to Retail Manager and recommend urgent orders

 

  • Staffing
    • Ensure the motivation of the team, implement incentives according to Retail Manager guidelines
    • Assess all stylist every 3 month and communicate training / support needs to Retail Manager and Training Manager. Address performance issues, or issues with respect of any guidelines.
    • Ensure everyone on counter is fully trained before starting and attends all training sessions
    • Ensure that the counter is properly staffed to the need of the business and submit proposed rotas to Retail manager every month on the 1st week for the following month

 

Qualifications

 

  • College qualifications in makeup artistry and/or minimum three years of relevant work experience in beauty
  • Excellent salesperson
  • Management and Training skills
  • Language : English is required
  • Pack Office : Word & Excel
