Travel Retail- Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

MAIN PURPOSE

Headquartered in Singapore with offices in Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Paris, Dubai, and Miami, Shiseido Travel Retail was established to oversee Shiseido’s global duty-free business, which specializes in accelerating the growth of our brands to travellers.

The ideal candidate will lead the regional planning and reporting cycles, ensuring accurate, complete and timely submissions to Japan Headquarters. The candidate will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders – Japan HQ, regional teams across Asia, Japan, Europe and America, and plays a crucial role in providing financial insight to support strategic decision.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Planning and Reporting

  • Drive and oversee all aspects of the Regional budgeting/forecasting and reporting cycles. This will entail liaison with markets to gather information, understand assumptions/ strategy and ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the submissions.
  • Work closely with Japan HQ and Brand Holders to address reporting requirements (which includes quarterly Investor Relations reporting, Townhall presentations), ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting requirement to various stakeholders (eg. HQ, Brand Holders) providing insightful analysis and commentary on the financial performance.
  • Provide guidance to markets on reporting requirements, timelines and data quality expectations. This will include sharing of HQ guidance with markets.

 

Financial Analysis and Preparation of Executive Presentations

  • Conduct Financial analysis to identify key business drivers & business opportunities in the Region and support strategic business -decision making.
  • Support the preparation and delivery (when necessary) of executive presentations and business updates for STR. Share business and financial insights with management with a compelling and impactful narrative.

 

Regional Business Lead on Reporting Systems & Process

  • Act as the Regional Business lead for the global FOCUS transformation project, leading the planning and reporting systems (BPC/BI/PaPM/GSMS), supporting pre and post go-live activities, ensuring implementation of system as per project timelines and smooth transition between legacy and FOCUS systems.
  • Drive improvements and enhancements to systems & processes to optimise efficiency and accuracy.

 

Regional Initiatives Support

  • Provide support in any ad-hoc HQ requests and initiatives (eg. Tracking of cost optimisation savings).

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accountancy or relevant qualifications as a Chartered Accountant.
  • At least 13-15 years of Regional Financial Planning and Analysis experience, within a multinational environment with proven experience in business planning and partnering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear, concise manner with compelling narratives to various stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and from various countries and cultures.
  • Highly proficient in financial modelling, planning and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, BPC, BI, and SAP Cloud Analytics).
  • Good business acumen, knowledge of key business performance indicators, strong commercial awareness.
  • Highly independent, results oriented individual who can work under high pressure and dynamic environment.
  • Strong integrity and desire to work in a company with a high-integrity culture.
