Job Summary:

As part of the Shiseido US Integrated Communications team, this position is responsible for supporting the execution of integrated PR and influencer plans for new product launches as well as brand always-on campaigns in the US. Through customized communications efforts and content strategies, this role will engage consumers through a mix of events, influencer, media editors and social media content with the objectives of driving awareness, traffic to .com, new customer recruitment and increasing social visibility.

This person will also be responsible for management of all Integrated Communications administrative tasks including, but not limited to coordination of the PR Closet, product orders, processing payments, media list management, press release development, reporting, PR mailing programs.

This role is great for an individual who is obsessed with pop-culture, on top of current trends and loves the beauty, fashion, lifestyle space. Reports directly to the Director of US Integrated Communications.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Integrated Communications with the development and implementation of PR and Influencer strategies/initiatives to support and align with marketing programs and image goals.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Communications & Social Media, US Marketing, Paid E-Commerce, Education, Legal, and Internal Creative Teams to execute the US PR and Influencer strategy to meet business objectives.
  • Leverage our Influencer Measurement Tool to regularly evaluate performance and work closely with Director to deliver data-driven results.
  • Help execute impactful communication plans/assets including calendars, press kits, and traditional media/influencer events; working closely with Marketing to ensure priority launches and key messaging.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships to create mailing materials for both product launches and ongoing brand campaigns as needed.
  • Responsible for managing and executing PR mailing programs, fulfilling product requests, inventory ordering, organization of PR closet.
  • Responsible for departmental administrative duties including organizing PR files, maintaining departmental supplies (bags, tissue, etc.), tracking budget invoices, fulfilling product requests, product ordering and maintaining PR closet.
  • Grow network of strong brand advocates through ongoing outreach and communication of new product launches & continuous product seeding.
  • Support development of PR toolkit needs including press releases, media alerts, pitches, artistry tips and other relevant needs.
  • Regularly monitor and track traditional and influencer social media coverage via PR and Influencer monitoring tools (i.e., Tribe Dynamics) and compile and distribute internal weekly PR Reports to be shared with senior leadership including coverage, activity highlights, identifying key trends and ROI.
  • Maintain organized and detailed reports that track all key brand KPIs (Impressions, EMV, etc.) and update on a weekly basis.
  • Stay current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to Influencer Marketing, PR, and social media.
  • Explore new & emerging influencers for future partnership consideration.
  • Work with Director of Integrated Communications to help manage requests from agency partners.
  • Create quarterly recap reports of overall Integrated Communications performance (in collaboration with Social Media Manager) to be shared with Executive leadership team.
  • Maintain minimal admin duties for department lead.

  • Interact professionally with various levels of Company employees and external PR, events, and influencer agencies.
  • Foster positive cross-functional relationships to facilitate effective/efficient workflow.
  • Foster positive external agency and vendor relationships across disciplines/departments.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external parties to ensure work moves efficiently.

Financial Accountability

  • Coordinate project estimates.
  • Process invoices and payments.
  • Track all approved estimates and monthly billing on internal trackers, laddering updates to Director.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Advertising, Marketing, or related field.
  • Entry level, up to 1-2 years’ experience in PR (internships included); beauty, luxury, fashion experience is plus.
  • Strong command of digital KPIs and social media metrics.
  • Passion and extensive knowledge of social media platforms and beauty influencer space.
  • Keen understanding of brand nuances, competitive positioning, current beauty trends, and industry chatter.
  • Existing relationships with beauty influencers and press a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills a must.
  • A passionate, energetic team-oriented individual with strong analytical, interpersonal, and creative skills.
  • A strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback.
  • Ability to work independently and utilize sound judgment.
  • Software expertise – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and basic knowledge of Cision, influencer measurement tools.
